In partnership with the Lake County Minority Tobacco Prevention Coalition and the Gary Community Health Foundation, Gary Neighborhood Services Inc. (GNS) designed and implemented a Youth Tobacco and Prevention program educating youth ages 10-18 on the risk associated with tobacco usage. Tobacco Prevention Workshop topics focus on the following:

Appropriate attitudes toward tobacco use
Knowledge of the negative consequences of tobacco products
Benefits of a tobacco free lifestyle
Personal and interpersonal skills relating to tobacco use
